PURPOSE: A display using a vertically aligned deformed helix ferroelectric liquid crystal, a multi electrode structure and a method for producing the same are provided to secure quick response to the display device having the fast helical deformation ferroelectric liquid crystal. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of horizontal electrodes(13, 14) and a plurality of reflectors(15) are periodically arranged in the first substrate. A plurality of horizontal electrodes is periodically arranged in the second substrate. A second substrate is separated opposite to the first substrate. A ferroelectric liquid-crystal layer is inserted between the first substrate and the second substrate.
