The present invention relates to a home appliance having a water leakage controller which automatically blocks water supply by detecting water leakage in a water-using appliance, and a water purifier using the same. According to the present invention, the water leakage controller (10) comprises: a box-shaped body (1) which forms an outer structure; a cover (2) which covers the upper side of said body; a valve (3) which is installed inside the body; a lever (4) which is connected to the axis of said valve thereby opening and closing the valve; a sponge block (5) which is provided at one end of said body; a stopper (6) which is attached to the upper side of said sponge block; a sponge pressure spring (7) which is attached to said cover and presses said stopper towards the lower side; and a valve actuator spring (8) which is attached to one end of the inner side of said body and pushes said lever (4) in a horizontal direction. According to the present invention, the water leakage controller can be manufactured at low cost as a compact, simple structure which requires no electric power, has no risk of breakdown, is reliable, easy to use and a semi-indefinite lifespan can be maintained by simply changing parts after each use.
