The present invention provides an apparatus for locating an instrument (100) within a pipe (210, 146), the apparatus comprising a body portion (240) defining a cavity (250) therein, a pipe engagement region for slideable engagement with a pipe (210, 146), and an instrument retention portion (260) for receiving at least a portion of an instrument therein and retaining the instrument (100) in position relative to the body (240). Also provided is a method of an instrument within a pipe using said apparatus.
