<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing control method for automatically deciding a binding margin position according to the binding direction without requiring complicated operation when a print image is printed on rolled paper in a printing mode for preparing a double-sided printed matter by folding the paper. <P>SOLUTION: In response to an input instruction, the position of a folding line and the position and size of a binding margin for a plurality of images are set, and a layout of the print image is decided according to the set position and size of the binding margin. The print image with a plurality of images, the binding margin, and the folding line arranged in the decided layout is printed on conveyed rolled paper. Especially, in printing, the print image is printed in the direction decided according to the size of the binding margin with respect to the conveying direction of the rolled paper. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
