<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cruising capability prediction system which performs prediction relating to the cruising capability in view of a change in vehicle weight. <P>SOLUTION: The cruising capability prediction system includes a vehicle weight detection sensor 210 detecting the total weight of the vehicle, an individual travel history information database 330 storing travel history information obtained by associating at least the start-point information, the arrival-point information, vehicle weight information and energy amount information, a battery management unit 410 managing a battery accumulating power for driving a motor, a navigation unit 800 obtaining the current location information of the vehicle and the location information of a destination, and a decision unit (ECU 100) calculating necessary energy from them, calculating usable energy accumulated in the current battery from the voltage obtained from the battery management unit 410 and comparing the necessary energy with the usable energy to determine the cruising capability. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
