PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a winter tire that secures edge effects of sipes while suppressing the reduction of a ground-contacting area even if abrasion is progressed, and can maintain a preferable brake and drive performance on an ice road surface over a long period of time. SOLUTION: At least the forward or rearward one end of a block 4 in a tire circumferential direction is formed at an inclined surface 4Q so as to lower the height thereof. A plurality of sipes 5 extending in a tire width direction are formed on a surface 4P and the inclined surface 4Q of each block 4. An interval of the sipes 5 in the tire circumferential direction T is made smaller than that on the inclined surface 4Q rather than the surface 4P of the block 4.
