<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arrangement structure for a canister of a saddle type vehicle wherein a canister can be arranged closely to a fuel tank to simplify a pipe structure. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel tank 50 disposed forwardly of an engine 22 is structured such that a tank upper half 53 and a tank lower half 54 of a concave shape formed by press forming are joined together at joining flanges 53a, 54a. The joining flanges 53a, 54a are disposed on a vehicle body such that a front portion thereof is positioned on the upper side. A rear inclined wall 54d which is inclined toward a rear upper side such that it forms a substantially right angle to the joining flange 54a is provided at a rear portion of the tank lower half 54.
