PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current position display for obtaining an azimuth angle and a dip of a geomagnetic vector by a three-axial magnetic sensor and stably changing over an orientation of map information appearing on a display screen based on geomagnetic information. SOLUTION: Map information of a current position appearing on the display screen 15a is rotated stepwise to constantly align with the orientation of the display screen 15a based on a change in the azimuth angle obtained by detecting the geomagnetic vector. When the change in the azimuth angle reaches a predetermined angle, the map information is rotated, and the predetermined angle is changed to increase as the dip of the geomagnetic vector increases. As a result, influence of noise when detecting the geomagnetic vector with a large dip to rotation and changeover of the map information is reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
