PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus operable while suppressing blurring of images caused by shaking by hand. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus includes an ultrasonic probe 10 for transmitting/receiving ultrasonic waves, a display 8 for displaying an image by using receiving echo signals received by the ultrasonic probe, and an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus body 11 in which the display is disposed for performing the diagnosis by using the image displayed in the display. The ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus body includes: an invisible infrared light source; a light receiving device 1 for detecting the reflection light reflected from the face of an operator irradiated with the light from the infrared light source; a detecting means for detecting the movement of eyes by using the image data with the reflection light detected by the light receiving device; and an output means for outputting operation signals for the ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus based on the movement of eyes detected by the detecting means.
