The system (1) has a non-return valve which is provided between a dosing pump (2) and a dosing unit. The non-return valve opens in direction of the dosing unit and has risk of leakage in its closed position. A fluid connection is provided in an operating condition of the dosing pump, from the return valve to the holding tank so that a fluid leakage flow in the direction of a holding tank (4) causes a pressure reduction in a dosing line (5). An independent claim is included for a method for dosing the fluids from a holding tank to a dosing unit.
