<p>Provided is a capillary electrophoresis apparatus wherein electrical discharge can be eliminated even when a conductive component is disposed close to the cathode end of a capillary. The capillary electrophoresis apparatus has a structure wherein the spatial distance and the creeping distance between the electrode attached to the cathode end of the capillary and the conductive component are large, even when the conductive component is disposed close to the cathode end of the capillary. Namely, the capillary electrode protruding from the lower surface of a load header penetrates the space between the load header and the evaporation preventing membrane, and further extends into a container through the capillary hole formed in the evaporation preventing membrane. At least a capillary electrode portion exposed to the space between the load header and the evaporation preventing membrane is covered with an insulating member.</p> |
