The converter has network-sided and load-sided power inverters (2, 4) electrically conductively connected with each other at direct current side. An upper and lower valve branches (T1-T6) of each phase module (8) of the load-sided multi-phase power inverter (4) has a two-pole subsystem (10). A multi-phase network-guided power inverter is provided as the network-sided power inverter (2). The network-sided power inverter is formed as a diode rectifier, thyristor rectifier or half-controlled thyristor bridge. |
