PURPOSE: An apparatus for simultaneously measuring carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide is provided to reduce an error and improve measurement accuracy by eliminating intrusive gases existing in the moving route of an infrared light source with a soda-lime purifier. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for simultaneously measuring carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide comprises a light source(110), an optical filter(120), a gas correlation filter(130), a motor(150), a sample gas cell(160), a light detection sensor(170) and an operation processing unit(180). The optical filter is divided into halves around a central shaft(140) in order to selectively pass the wavelength of the light created by the light source. The fame correlation filter is equally divided into four around the central shaft. The motor is connected to the central shaft in order to rotate the optical filter and the gas correlation filter. The sample gas cell is connected to the gas correlation filter and filled with sample gas so as to receive the light passing through the gas correlation filter. The light detection sensor measures the transmittances of the measurement beam and the reference beam passing through the sample gas cell. The operation processing unit compares each component from the transmittances of the measurement beam and the reference beam measured by the light detection sensor. |
