FIELD: oil and gas production. ^ SUBSTANCE: device for damping vibrations in field drill string is made as module consisting of case with two tubular elements forming circular cavity between them. Internal walls of the cavity, in particular have projecting ribs improving transfer of vibration energy from the said internal wall to particles filling the circular cavity. The procedure for damping vibration caused with drilling in the field drill string is based on damping by means of particles and in absorbing vibration energy by means of at least one said module. ^ EFFECT: raised efficiency of drilling and increased service life of drill string due to vibration damping. ^ 28 cl, 6 dwg
