An anti-corrosive composition for protecting metal parts such as junction-boxes and conduits comprises a mineral oil or grease and an aromatic hydrocarbon of higher melting point which is soluble in the oil or grease above the melting point of the hydrocarbon. The mineral oil or grease may be lubricating oils, schist oils, coal oils, synthetic oils obtained by hydrogenation, or petroleum jelly. The aromatic hydrocarbon may be naphthalene, anthracene or acenaphthene. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also the use of pitch or bitumen in place of the oil or grease and rubber in place of the aromatic hydrocarbon. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted. |
