The clipping machine (C) has two closing tools which are moved relative to each other between an open position and a locking position for setting and locking of clips to the sausage-shaped products. A clip storage device is provided by which the clips are supplied to the closing tools. A discharge line (AS) for the sausage-shaped products of a conveying path is provided. A separate conveying path is provided parallel to the former conveying path.
