A method for calculating the book popularity and a system for performing the same are provided to offer more accurate and reliable book data by reflecting more substantial elements when determining the book popularity. Based on book-related data of books stored in a database, a book popularity calculating system calculates the book sales degree and author popularity of each book(S101). Based on the publication date of each book stored in the database, the book popularity calculating system calculates the popularity index at the present time(S102), and then calculates the book popularity of each book by reflecting the calculated book sales degree, author popularity and popularity index(S103). |
