<p>The hydrodynamic retarder (2) has radially inner lying inlet chambers for supplying a working fluid of the retarder into a toroid chamber. Radially outer lying outlet chambers are provided for discharging the working fluid from the toroid chamber. The inlet chambers and the outlet chambers are distributed uniformly on a circumference of the retarder. The inlet chambers are provided as inlet spirals (42,44,46,48) and the outlet chambers are provided as outlet spirals (20,22,24,26).</p> |
