摘要 Alloy comprises tin, silicon and carbon, and a crystalline phase. Alloy comprises tin, silicon and carbon, and a crystalline phase having the structure of formula (Sn-M). M : an inert metal. Independent claims are included for: (1) an alloy comprising tin and silicon, comprising: (a) a nanocrystalline phase containing at least 50 atom% of the silicon element; (b) a nanocrystalline phase containing a tin compound; and (c) a nanocrystalline phase containing tin element; (2) electrode comprising the alloy; (3) lithium-ion battery comprising the electrode, which is a negative electrode; and (4) manufacturing the alloy comprising silicon and tin comprising: preparing a pre-alloy from tin and at least one inert metal and/or aluminum; (b) adding carbon, silicon and optionally inert metal to prealloy of step (a); and (c) synthesizing the alloy.
