The present invention refers to an adaptive software and hardware system for scientific image processing being able to be of stand-alone application by having all of its basic program as well as most of the working data embedded in an external portable memory device (EPM), comprising a first module (M1) for image acquisition of a plurality of first image formats and image conversion in a standardized second image format; a second module (M2) for executing specialized measurements on the basis of the standardized second image format; and a third module (M3) for supply logistics control on the basis of the measurements of said second Module (M2).
