PURPOSE: An LED and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve the light emitting efficiency of LEDs by securing a potential difference between a p-electrode and an n- electrode. CONSTITUTION: An n-type doping layer(202) is formed on a transparent layer(201). An active layer(204) is formed on the n-type doping layer. A p-type doping layer(205) is formed on the active layer. A light transmission layer(206) is formed on the p-type doping layer. A p-electrode(207) is formed on the light transmission layer.
