594,740. Snap-action switches; pressbutton retractive switches. FIRST INDUSTRIAL CORPORATION. June 28, 1945, No. 16526. Convention date, Sept. 25, 1944. [Class 38(v)] A lever 19 for actuating the plunger 18 of a retractive switch, such as that described in Specification 419,917, has an open-sided bearing 28 engageable round a pin 21 between shoulders 29 thereof, by which the pin is pivoted in side wings 23, 24 on the cover 6 of the switch. A coiled spring 22 urges the lever arm away from the plunger, but the pin may be mounted in holes 21b so that the plunger is normally depressed by the short lever arm 19a, Fig. 2 (not shown) or the lever may be reversed so that the arm 19b has to be lifted, Fig. 3 (not shown), to operate the switch. The spring 22 and reduced part of the pin cooperate to prevent endwise or lateral movement of the pin or lever. |
