METHOD FOR SETTING EXACT FILLING LEVEL OF COOLING MEDIUM IN COOLING CIRCUIT OF A VEHICLE

PURPOSE: A method for setting an accurate charging level of a cooling medium in a cooling circuit of a vehicle is provided to prevent the loss of a cooling medium since the pressure in a cooling circuit is decreased if a defined amount of a working medium is charged when a retarder stops. CONSTITUTION: A method for setting an accurate charging level of a cooling medium in a cooling circuit of a vehicle comprises the next steps. A doughnut type processing chamber(6) is formed, which is able to be filled with a working medium or to be emptied. Right before the introduction and/or the completion of a stop process of a vehicle, the processing chamber of a hydrodynamics type retarder(3) is always filled with the same amount of working medium or is always emptied. The hydrodynamics type retarder is mounted on a cooling circuit(1). The retarder comprises a first blade wheel(4) and a second blade wheel(5). The cooling medium of the cooling circuit works also as the working medium of the retarder.
