PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition containing 2-arylbenzothiopene derivative for preventing or treating neurodegenerative diseases is provided to early diagnose Alzheimer's disease. CONSTITUTION: A 2-aryl benzothiophene derivative is denoted by chemical formula 1. A method for preparing 2-aryl benzothiophene derivative comprises: a step of reacting benzothiopene derivative of chemical formula 3 with boron copmpound(iPrO)_3B under the presence of organic solvent to obtain a compound of chemical formula 4; and a step of reacting the compound of chemical formula 4 with aryl halide under the presence of organic solvent and catalyst. A pharmaceutical composition for diagnosing or treating neurodegenerative diseases contains the 2-arylbenzythiopnene derivative of chemical formula 1 or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient.
