PURPOSE: A classification storing method of a telephone number for dividing the classification of a telephone number in a server is provided to classify the telephone number such as a company name, an agency name and a department name according to an area code and a company number. CONSTITUTION: A user inputs a telephone number in a telephone terminal(S102). If the user selects a classification storage function in a telephone number storage menu, an area code and a telephone exchange number are selected(S104). The user inputs a classification name indicating a communication provider number or the area code through a keypad(S122). The classification storage of the telephone number is completed by pressing a completion number(S124).
