PURPOSE: An apparatus for increasing web search speed in a mobile terminal according to the improvement of the search speed is provided to increase the search speed by changing an output point of the search result after confirming the search result. CONSTITUTION: A portable terminal includes a control unit(200), an output point confirmation unit(202), a memory unit(204), an input unit(206), and a display unit(208). In case a web search request is confirmed, the output point confirmation unit confirms a search result output point for the output of the search result. The controller sets up the output point of a target page before the output of the search result by the change of the search result output point. The controller outputs the search result in the fixed set output point.
