PURPOSE: A device and a method for processing radioactive waste are provided to reduce a process space and the number of drums by immediately processing the radioactive waste of medium and low levels. CONSTITUTION: Radioactive waste is inputted to an inlet(100). A grinding unit(200) grinds the radioactive waste and includes a plurality of compressing rollers. A compressing unit(300) compresses the grinded radioactive waste and includes a compressing chamber and a piston. The piston moves along the length direction of a compression chamber to compress the radioactive waste. A paraffin solution supply unit(400) supplies paraffin solutions to the grinded radioactive waste. A gate unit(500) selectively opens and closes the compressing unit.
