PURPOSE: A method for culturing cells, which is able to prevent mycoplasma contamination is provided to stably culture cell without mycoplasma contamination. CONSTITUTION: A medium containing amphidinol derivative selected from a compound selected from chemical formulas 1-8 is used for culturing cells without mycoplasma contamination. The medium additionally contains 1-40 uM of surfactin, 0.1-100 ug/ml of ciprofloxacin or 0.1-100 ug/ml of rifamficin. A method for removing mycoplasma-contaminated cells is to culture in a medium containing the amphidinol derivative. |
