PURPOSE: A winding curvature correcting unit for a winding machine is provided to minimize the internal stress and the internal stress variation in a continuous material to be rolled. CONSTITUTION: A winding curvature correcting unit for a winding machine comprises a sensing unit(420), a lifting unit, and a control unit. The sensing unit measures the distance from a sensing point on a side of a rolled continuous material to an absolute position. The lifting unit selectively moves up and down a drum(301). The control unit compares the measured distance provided form the sensing unit with the pre-set absolute distance and selectively controls the operation of the lifting unit. The sensing unit is fixed to a side of a winding machine so that an extension line of the sensing direction passes through the rotational center of the drum.
