PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably connect an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus body to an ultrasonic probe without false recognition when a transfer signal according to ultrasonic echoes is wirelessly transmitted from the probe to the body. SOLUTION: An ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus includes the ultrasonic probe and the ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus body, the ultrasonic probe includes a probe ID transport unit which has a transport distance shorter than that of a first wireless communication unit and transports a probe ID for identifying itself to the outside in contact or contactlessly, the ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus body includes a probe ID obtaining unit for obtaining the probe ID transported from the probe ID transport unit, and a second wireless communication unit receives the transfer signal from the ultrasonic probe having the probe ID obtained by the probe ID obtaining unit.
