PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continue operation by preventing overdischarge using the remaining sound battery groups even when abnormal conditions occur in one of battery groups and an abnormal battery group is to be separated when stopping a generator and supplying power only from a battery power supply in an electric promoting system for supplying power to a load comprising a promoting motor from a hybrid power supply formed of the battery power supply with a plurality of battery groups arranged in parallel and the generator. SOLUTION: The electric promoting system includes the battery power supply where a plurality of battery groups 1 to 2 are connected in parallel, a controller 26, the generator 14, a controller 32, a promoting motor 21, a controller 37 and an auxiliary motor 10. When the abnormal conditions occur in any of the battery groups 1 and 2 and the abnormal battery group is to be separated when stopping the generator 14 and supplying power only from the battery power supply, necessary power of the promoting motor 21 is dropped in accordance with the number of abnormal battery groups to be separated, and the remaining sound battery group is prevented from being overdischarged.
