PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption of a wireless terminal. SOLUTION: Another terminal is associated as a communication party with a wireless communication device 1. The wireless communication device 1 transmits a request of transition from a first operation state to a second operation state, and for the request, receives a response determined in accordance with the state of a terminal associated as the communication party. The wireless communication device 1 controls a period for intermittent reception at a first period or a second period on the basis of the received response. The management device 2 confirms the state of the terminal associated as the communication party of the wireless communication device 1 in response to a request issued from the wireless communication device 1 for transition from the first operation state to the second operation state. The management device 2 decides a reception period in which the wireless communication device 1 executes intermittent reception, at the first period or the second period on the basis of the terminal associated as the communication party of the wireless communication device 1.
