PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a box for a tunnel, which can reduce the amount of carbon dioxide emissions. SOLUTION: The box 10 for the tunnel, forms the tunnel by being continuously constructed axially when an underground structure of large cross section is constructed by connecting a plurality of tunnels to each other which are provided side by side. The box 10 for the tunnel includes a remaining part 11, a removal part 12, and a connection 13. The remaining part 11 constitutes part of the construction of the underground structure, and the removal part 12 constitutes part which is not engaged with the construction of the underground structure. The connection 13 connects between the remaining part 11 and the removal part 12, both of which are constituted of a concrete member, and the connection 13 is constituted of a steel member.
