PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an epoxy resin composition which can remarkably lower the coefficient of linear expansion of a cured product, even when the content of an inorganic substance is small, can reduce the surface roughness of a roughed cured product, and can enhance the peel strength of a metal layer from the cured product, and to provide a cured product. SOLUTION: The epoxy resin composition comprises an epoxy resin having at least two epoxy groups, a curing agent having an aminotriazine skeleton and a phenolic hydroxyl group, silica, and a maleimide compound having at least two maleimide skeletons, wherein the nitrogen content of the curing agent is≥17 wt.%.
