PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an organosilicon compound which can obtain a product by a simple process in a high yield. SOLUTION: An organosilicon compound represented by formula (1): R<SP>2</SP><SB>n</SB>X<SB>m</SB>Si-R<SP>1</SP>-SiX<SB>m</SB>R<SP>3</SP><SB>n</SB>(wherein R<SP>1</SP>is a methylene group, an alkylene group or an arylene group; R<SP>2</SP>and R<SP>3</SP>are each an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkynyl group or an aryl group; X is hydrogen or a halogen; m and n are each an integer of 0-3 and m+n is 3) is reacted with a metallic compound represented by formula (2): M(OR<SP>4</SP>)<SB>r</SB>(wherein M is a metallic element; r is a valence number of the metallic element; and R<SP>4</SP>is an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkynyl group or an aryl group) to obtain the organosilicon compound of formula (3): R<SP>2</SP><SB>n</SB>(OR<SP>4</SP>)<SB>m</SB>Si-R<SP>1</SP>-Si(OR<SP>4</SP>)<SB>m</SB>R<SP>2</SP><SB>n</SB>(wherein R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP>, R<SP>4</SP>, m, and n are the same as defined above).
