PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell-catching device which can selectively and efficiently catch or remove cancer cells from a cell dispersion such as a cancer cell-containing blood sample, and to provide a cell-catching system. SOLUTION: This cell-catching device through which a cell dispersion containing at least cancer cells passes to impart at least one of a physical action, a chemical action and a physiologically active action to the cancer cells includes a passage for flowing the cell dispersion, an injection portion disposed at one end of the passage, and a drainage portion disposed at the other end of the passage, wherein the passage is formed by arranging a plurality of filmy substrates whose surfaces are parallel to a cell dispersion-introducing direction in the injection portion, and the minimum width of the cross section of the passage in the direction vertical to the cell dispersion-introducing direction is smaller than the average diameter of the cancer cells.
