The invention relates to the chemical and pharmaceutical industry, namely, to the production of an agent that is used for preventing influenza and acute respiratory diseases and is based on substances isolated from raw vegetable matter. The proposed agent for preventing influenza and acute respiratory diseases is characterised in that it is a mixture of dihydroquercetin, arabinogalactan and ascorbic acid with the following mass ratio of the respective ingredients - 1:(16-18):1. The agent can be in the form of a pill. Clinical and epidemiological studies of the claimed agent show that the agent is well tolerated and does not give rise to side effects, allergic reactions or complaints relating to the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract and other systems of the body.
