PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article storage facility capable of suppressing lowering of a working ratio, even when a mobile body is inclined at a degree to hinder transferring of articles to a storing part. SOLUTION: This article storage facility includes an article storage shelf arranged with storing parts 4 at a plurality of upper and lower steps, the mobile body 11 to be elevated/lowered in a vertical direction and to be traveled in a horizontal direction, and a transfer device 12. The mobile body 11 is elevated/lowered by winding and delivering two wire-like bodies 15a and 15b. The article storage facility includes a control means for controlling the operation of an elevating/lowering driving means. The article storage facility further includes an elevating/lowering-position detection means of the mobile body 11 and an inclination detection means 30 for detecting the horizontal direction inclinationαof the mobile body 11. The control means controls the horizontal direction inclinationαin a state of the mobile body 11 located at each step of the storing parts 4 of the plurality of upper and lower steps as a control inclination value, inhibits stocking and shipping of an article B in/from the step wherein the control inclination value is larger than the set inclination value of the storing part 4 and controls the stocking and shipping of the article B in/from the other steps of the storing parts 4 in a permitted state.
