PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heater that is light-weighted and has a wide range of applications. SOLUTION: The heater is equipped with an insulating substrate, a plurality of line electrodes, a plurality of column electrodes, and a plurality of carbon nanotube heating elements. The plurality of line electrodes are installed, mutually in parallel with equal spacing on one surface of the insulating substrate, the plurality of column electrodes are mutually installed, in parallel with an equal spacing on the surface of the insulating substrate, and the plurality of line electrodes and the plurality of column electrodes are intersected to form a plurality of grids. The plurality of grids and the plurality of carbon nanotube heating elements are in one-to-one correspondence, and each carbon nanotube heating element is electrically connected to the line electrode and the column electrode of respective corresponding grid.
