PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water preventing system in a dental handpiece which prevents the head of the dental handpiece from being invaded by contaminated water into the upper and lower bearings, the gear wheel, or the like of the head, when a head bar is used to treat teeth together with water jetted through an inserted water-jetting nozzle. SOLUTION: The dental handpiece, which is a center water jetting type handpiece, includes a water preventing system in which a sealing material is mounted between the upper of the outside sleeve and the upper bearing while a further sealing material is mounted between the lower of the inside sleeve and the lower bearing.
