PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stabilizer having improved economical efficiency while securing sufficient fatigue strength. SOLUTION: The stabilizer 10 is mainly characterized in that fatigue resistance surface treatment for enhancing fatigue strength is applied only to sites 12a, 12b where stress of a threshold value or greater occurs when a predetermined load works, and the fatigue resistance surface treatment is not applied to others than the sites. The stabilizer 10 is locally subjected to the fatigue resistance surface treatment only at the sites requiring high fatigue strength. Thus, the stabilizer 10 has improved economical efficiency while securing sufficient fatigue strength, because of no need for applying the fatigue resistance surface treatment to the whole.
