The joint has a joint housing (26) including a center bore hole, and circumferentially and radially spaced ball grooves (30) arranged in a longitudinal axis (28). The joint housing is arranged over case ends (34) corresponding to multiple balls (40) that are arranged in the grooves. An articulated joint (20) is arranged on the balls, and a region of angular movement and another region of end movement of a shaft (22) are provided in relation of another shaft (24). A hollow lubricant reservoir is formed in ball pockets (38), and lubricant is provided in the reservoir. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a constant velocity joint.
