PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily acquiring linearity and contact property between connecting parts of pipes, in a connecting method of pipes with rib using a bending prevention ring. SOLUTION: A bending prevention ring 10 has: two fitting pieces 11 fitted to outer peripheral parts of ribs 3 at adjacent two parts; and a bridge part 12 connecting between the two fitting pieces 11. When the pipe 1 with rib and a pipe 1A with rib are connected, rubber-ring packing 8 is installed between adjacent ribs 3-2, 3-3 of an insertion hole 6 of one pipe 1 with rib, and the bending prevention ring 10 is installed to outer peripheries of the adjacent ribs 3-4 and 3-5 in the back of the rubber-ring packing 8. Since the bending prevention ring 10 is installed to the outer peripheries of the ribs 3, a crashing margin of the bending prevention ring 10 is enlarged to enhance contact property between the ring 10 with an inner face of a socket 5. Further, since the socket 5 and the insertion hole 6 are supported at three support points of the rubber-ring packing 8 and two fitting pieces 11 of the bending preventive ring 10 in total, the linearity between both pipes is improved.
