<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging element and an imaging apparatus, which can simply check a connection state of a path through which a video signal is received/transmitted between LSIs without using boundary scan, or provide an imaging element that can be used for that check. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging element is provided with a test signal generation means for outputting a digital signal for producing a test image. The imaging apparatus has a test operation mode for checking a connection state, and is configured to output a result obtained by processing the digital signal generated by the test signal generation circuit from a digital image output interface in a test mode state. Actual equipment is connected with an evaluation device in which an expectation value at test signal processing by the imaging apparatus is stored, and a quality of assembly of the imaging apparatus is evaluated by comparing the expectation value prepared beforehand in the evaluation device with an output of the actual equipment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
