PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate mist having sterilization action, and to supply it to a storage chamber without generating harmful gas such as ozone even while using an electrostatic atomizer as a mist generating means. SOLUTION: The electrostatic atomizer 36 is installed at a partition plate 8 between a refrigerating chamber 3 and a vegetable chamber 4. Water W in a water storage tank 43 is supplied to a mist discharge part 49 via a water absorption pin 48, a water-retaining material 47, and a conductive sheet 46. A negative high voltage is applied to the mist discharge part 49 from a power supply device 56, and the mist including hydroxy radical with strong oxidation action is discharged from the mist discharge part 49. The mist is supplied into the vegetable chamber 4 from a mist outlet 52. A counter electrode to the mist discharge part 49 is not placed in the vicinity of the mist discharge part 49, and thus, the ozone is not generated.
