PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner suitable to be used near a user. SOLUTION: A mechanical unit 3 has: suction pores 6 disposed on a circumferential surface 5a of a casing 5; exhaust pores 7 disposed on top plates 5b; and fans 8 disposed in the interior. A pair of filter units 4 are arranged so as to sandwich the casing 5. Each filter unit 4 comprises: a sponge filter 10; a sheet lamination part 15 composed of a plurality of cover sheets 18 with which the surface of the sponge filter 10 is covered; and a cover member 16.
