<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diesel engine capable of preventing insufficient lubrication for a fuel injection camshaft even when the engine is downwardly inclined toward a timing transmission gear case. <P>SOLUTION: After engine oil 14 in an oil pan flows to an inner bottom of an injection pump housing case 1 with a pumping force of an oil pump, it flows into a timing transmission gear case 11 via an oil flowing passage 20 of the injection pump housing case 1 and is returned into the oil pan. An end of a fuel injection camshaft 3 comes into contact with an end of the injection pump housing case 1 so that it is journaled via a rolling bearing 41, and an oil blocking wall 24 is provided along an end face of the rolling bearing 41. When the engine is downwardly inclined toward the timing transmission gear case 11 side, the engine oil 14 to be flown to the timing transmission gear case 11 via a gap 41a between races of the rolling bearing 41 from the injection pump housing case 1 is blocked by the oil blocking wall 24. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
