METHOD OF MANUFACTURING COMPOSITE PARTICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a composite particle having an iron coating layer small in the content of impurities such as oxygen on the surface of a base material particle.

SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the composite particle having the coating layer of iron on the surface of the base material particle includes the steps of: dispersing the base material particles having≥0.1μm and≤1,000μm average particle diameter at a first temperature of <103°C in a hydrocarbon based organic solvent containing iron pentacarbonyl complex; thermally decomposing the iron pentacarbonyl complex at a second temperature of≥120°C and <170°C in the hydrocarbon based organic solvent; and thermally decomposing the iron pentacarbonyl complex at a third temperature higher than the second temperature and≤240°C in the hydrocarbon-based organic solvent.
