PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting dimension inspection device that inspects the length of a book in the conveyance direction highly accurately, without causing defects in quality, such as damages or rubbing on the book. SOLUTION: The cutting dimension inspection device for inspecting dimensions of a quire or a book (hereinafter, to be called merely "book") being carried in a prescribed direction includes: a conveyance means for conveying the book; a plurality of width direction transit detection sensors arranged at prescribed distances along a direction non-parallel to the conveyance direction of the book; a position detection sensor having a prescribed detection width in parallel with the conveyance direction of the book, for detecting the position of a side of the book; a conveyance speed measuring means for measuring the conveyance speed of the book; and a quality decision means for calculating the length of the book in the conveyance direction from transit timing information of the side of the book detected by each width direction transit detection sensor, position information of the side of the book detected by the position detection sensor, and conveyance speed information measured by the conveyance speed measuring means, and then compares the result with a preset prescribed value range, to thereby determine the quality level.
