PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a buffer and liquid ejecting apparatus which maintains the stable supply of a liquid to a liquid ejecting head. SOLUTION: The buffer 53 which holds a liquid in order to maintain the stable supply of liquid has: a cup 53a formed in the shape of tube with bottom; and a film 53b for forming a sealed space S between the film and the cup 53a with flexibility. A recess 53d or a protrusion is formed in the open end 53c of the cup 53a. The film 53b is stuck along with the surface covering the open end 53c and the recess 53d or the protrusion.
